libkmer-dev software package provides suite of tools for DNA sequence analysis (development lib), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libkmer-dev
libkmer-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libkmer-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libkmer-dev *
You will get with libkmer-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
